Pheuf! I hope that everyone with school aged kids is settling into the new routine of “back to school” smoothly and had a wonderful summer!
Here on my end, things were extremely busy. I’m not quite sure where the summer went, but I’m so happy that school is back in and we can return to routine, though I will certainly miss the warm weather as it seems to be fading away quickly.
I didn’t do much blogging this summer as our 3 & 4 year old kept me on my toes and in the moments in between, a friend and I organized the Binbrook Mom 2 Mom Sale. I also wasn’t quite sure which path Suburban Moms Media was going to take. There was some research done into joining up with a local Hamilton non-profit agency that advocates for women’s rights, but it doesn’t look like there is any funding available for connecting communities of moms (go figure!).
Because of the possibility of joining up with an organization, I was reluctant to post many personal posts and I let Suburban Moms Media become a “brand” with a separate identity from me. I felt like I should only be creating “content” that gave brilliant advice on how to plan the perfect picnic for your kids, pack perfectly for the cottage or pack school lunches that fit perfectly into compact Bento boxes – but that just isn’t me. My life just isn’t that “perfect”.
I much prefer to be my authentic, imperfect (opinionated) self when writing blog posts and in life in general! So watch for some raw, authentic posts showing up on this blog in the near future. There are lots of other blogs where you can learn how to pack a perfect school lunch. Hehehe.
Watch for more changes coming soon!
I just have to share this one
